YOUR LISTING CHECKLIST

Create a business profile customers can trust

A useful listing answers three questions: what do you offer, where do you work, and how can someone reach you? Use this checklist before submitting your profile.

1. Make your business easy to recognise

Use your real trading name, a clear logo and the category that best matches your main service. Keep your business name and contact details consistent with your website and other listings.

2. Explain what you do in a few sentences

Say who you help, what you offer and the communities you serve. Use plain language and specific services instead of slogans or repeated keywords.

Example: “We provide residential plumbing repairs and fixture installations in Scarborough and nearby communities. Contact us to discuss your project and request an estimate.”

3. Help customers find and contact you

Check your phone number, email, website and service location. Include +1 for Canadian phone numbers. If you work from home, publish only the address details you intend customers to see. Add current hours and useful links where available.

4. Show your work with clear images

Add a sharp logo and genuine photos of your storefront, products or completed work. Use images you own or have permission to publish, and avoid including private customer details. Your plan sets the number of advertisement images you can display.

5. Make services and offers specific

List your main services in terms customers understand. For a promotion, explain what is included, the price, the expiry date and any conditions. Only claim qualifications or guarantees you can support.

6. Review, submit and keep it current

Preview your profile, check spelling and test contact links. Submit it for review, then update it whenever your hours, services, prices or contact details change.
